As an on-air TV reporter, Rod Coffee, has covered news, sports and entertainment around the country. A multi-talented writer, producer and on-air talent, Rod has produced an impressive array of content in broadcast, print and Internet media.

His journalism journey includes working as an on-air reporter appearing regularly to a national audience on BET Tonight with Tavis Smiley. Rod also worked as an on-air reporter in Washington DC at WJLA TV. Traveling overseas to the 2012 London Olympics, Rod reporter for the Black Athlete Spots Network and is currently a featured reporter for the acclaimed Bleacher Report and writer for the Key Biscayne Islander News.

A graduate of Eastern Michigan University, Coffee, began his journalism career as a writer/reporter for Florida Today newspaper. During the past 20 years, the career journalist has been published in the Detroit Free Press, Sun Sentinel, Upscale Magazine, The Sun Post, The Islander News, Detroit Black Life, Arts and Culture Magazine as well as other publications. His TV news career includes working as a general assignment reporter for the NBC affiliate in Lansing Michigan and the Fox affiliate in Raleigh NC, were he honed his craft producing packages and live reports on a daily basis.

Meanwhile, the multi-tasking, multi-talented media man produced commercial content for production companies based in Miami Beach while independently writing, shooting and editing small business videos for people looking to secure rich media for the web.

A native Detroiter, Rod, continues to develop Coffee Break Media working around the country using his experience and ability creating an array of media for individuals and businesses alike.

When he’s not producing media, the former college athlete enjoys moonlighting as a personal fitness trainer and relaxing anywhere he can find a scenic waterfront.
